Montornès del Vallès - Spain
Organised by Municipality of Montornès del Vallès
Story telling activity addressed to families with children over 5 years to introduce basic concepts of asylum rights and to raise awareness about the reality of thousands of refugees displaced due to war and human rights violation. The activity presents the story of Bamako, a little girl forced to leave her home because of the war and explains her trip to an unknown place. Three municipal libraries from three different localities in the province of Barcelona will host this activity during the EDLS as part of its child programming. This activity comes of the collaboration between the Development Cooperation Office and the Libraries Service of Diputació de Barcelona and aims to put in value the importance of local initiatives in education for development.Three municipal libraries from three different localities in the province of Barcelona will host this activity during the EDLS as part of its child programming.
